Striking Thai-inspired tiled roofs and an impressive entrance, lead to Kalya Residence’s living and dining pavilion. Inside, a vaulted ceiling soars above a vast lounge, dining and open-plan kitchen area, wrapped by glass doors that open onto a covered terrace and the spectacular view.

An open staircase leads from the terrace to the pool level below, where a master suite and three guest bedrooms are located. The master suite occupies its own pitch-roofed pavilion, while the guest bedrooms are located on the lower level of the living pavilion with a shared terrace and views of the 20-metre pool and ocean.

INDOOR LIVING

Indoor living at Kalya Residence centres on the opulent living and dining pavilion and its spectacular panorama of the ocean and neighbouring islands.

An impressive vaulted ceiling towers above a spacious seating area where a long, L-shaped cream sofa and easy chairs are arranged around a coffee table of polished sandstone.  Creamy-white tiled floors, natural fibre area rugs, Thai lamps and artefacts create a comfortable and inviting space for social gatherings – complete with a wall-mounted, Smart TV.

In the centre of the room stands an impressive wooden dining table with seating for up to 10.  At the far end is a fully equipped western-style open kitchen with an island bar and built-in wine cooler.

Wraparound glass doors fold back to connect this enormous room to a wide furnished terrace, creating one seamless indoor–outdoor entertainment space overlooking the view.

OUTDOOR LIVING

A 20-metre infinity pool and adjoining sun terrace set the scene for relaxed outdoor living at Kalya Residence, and eyes are drawn to three bronze cats that appear to be parading across the surface of the water.

To one end of the pool is a spacious, sunken living and dining sala with barbecue grill, drinks fridge and a dining table for up to 10 guests – an inspiring spot for relaxed poolside lunches, alfresco dinners and informal barbecues overlooking the view.

Extending the entire width of the property, the pool terrace is set with vividly cushioned sun loungers, designer daybeds and matching umbrellas that catch the cooling coastal breezes from the surrounding hills.

In contrast to the cool grey and natural colour palette of the villa, a luxuriant mature garden is packed with a variety of colourful and fragrant plants, which create a luxuriant tropical setting for an idyllic holiday in this gorgeous villa.

BEDROOMS

Kalya Residence’s four delightful ensuite bedrooms all have king-size beds, generous built-in wardrobes, ensuite bathrooms designed in warm sandstone with double vanities, walk-in rain showers, and a terrazzo bathtub in the case of the master suite.

All rooms are fronted by a terrace with views of the pool, garden and ocean.  Cream tiled floors topped with area rugs, together with colourful Thai silk accents, warm woods and natural finishes make for a calm, comfortable ambiance.  Smart flat-screen TVs, modern sound systems, personal safes and bedside controls for air conditioning are common to each room.

MASTER BEDROOM 1

The master suite at Kalya Residence occupies its own pavilion at one end of the pool, and is fronted by a terrace furnished with large round daybeds.  The Thai-style roof reflects the architecture of the living pavilion and gives the suite a bright, spacious ambiance.  Glass doors open on two sides to the pool terrace and guests enjoy a stunning panorama of the pool and view from the room’s king-size bed, as well as from the large tub in its ensuite bathroom.

DELUXE BEDROOMS 2, 3 AND 4

Set towards the back of the villa’s immaculate lawn, on the ground floor of the main living pavilion, three elegant guest bedrooms share a similar design and layout and are furnished with king-size beds.  Ensuite bathrooms have generous windows to let in the natural light.  Floor-to-ceiling glass doors at the front of the rooms open onto a wide, shared terrace and overlook the pool and ocean views.

Alternatively, groceries are charged at cost plus 30% handling fee which is subject to 10% service charge and 7% government tax.
